CBI Selection Process

Applicants for CBI Foreign Exchange Officer and Marketing Officer posts will be selected based on the following criteria:

• Online Written Test
• Personal Interview

CBI Post Wise Qualification & Age Limit

Foreign Exchange Officer (Scale III)

• Number of Posts: 50
• Age Limit: 25 to 35 Years (As on 01.01.2026). Upper Age Relaxation: SC/ST +5 Years, OBC +3 Years, PwBD (Gen/EWS) +10 Years, PwBD (SC/ST) +15 Years, PwBD (OBC) +13 Years, Ex-Servicemen as per Govt. Policy
• Education Qualification: Full time Degree in any discipline. Preference shall be given to Applicants having professional qualification CFA/CA, MBA in concerned stream. Experience: A minimum of five years of experience as an officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank, with three of those years required to be spent in Trade Finance, Forex operations, or IBU-Gift City. The officer must currently be employed in the forex industry, ideally in sales or business development. (Regular or part-time employees of NBFCs, RRBs, cooperative banks, or the insurance industry are ineligible.)
• Pay Scale: Rs.85,920/- to Rs.1,05,280/-

Marketing Officer (Scale I)

• Number of Posts: 300
• Age Limit: 22 to 30 Years (As on 01.01.2026). Upper Age Relaxation: SC/ST +5 Years, OBC +3 Years, PwBD (Gen/EWS) +10 Years, PwBD (SC/ST) +15 Years, PwBD (OBC) +13 Years, Ex-Servicemen as per Govt. Policy
• Education Qualification: Full time Degree and Two years Full time MBA/PGDBA/PGDBM/PGPM/PGDM with Major specialization in Marketing. Experience: Two years of post-qualification experience, of which one year was spent continuously in the marketing department of a company (Banking Financial Services and Insurance, or BFSI), and one year must be spent working in the marketing department.
• Pay Scale: Rs.44,480/- to Rs.85,920/-
