Indian Army Post Wise Qualification & Age Limit

Agniveer (General Duty)

• Age Limit: 17½ to 22 Years (Candidates born between 01 Jul 2005 to 01 Jul 2009, both days inclusive)
• Education Qualification: Class 10th/Matric pass with 45% marks in aggregate of five basic subjects and minimum 33% marks in each of those five subjects. For boards following the grading system, grades commensurate to percentages as above will be considered. Indian Gorkhas require Class 10th simple pass. Applicants with valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) Driving License / Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) Driving License will be given preference for Driver requirements.
• Pay Scale: Rs. 30,000/- per month (First Year)

Agniveer (Technical)

• Age Limit: 17½ to 22 Years (Candidates born between 01 Jul 2005 to 01 Jul 2009, both days inclusive)
• Education Qualification: 10+2/Intermediate/HSC Exam passed in Science with Physics, Maths and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate. OR 10+2 / Intermediate Exam Pass in Science with Physics, Maths & English from any accredited State Education Board or Central Education Board to include NIOS and ITI courses of one year in any field with NSQF level 4 or above. OR Passed 02 years vocational course with non-vocational subjects viz Physics and Mathematics from Education Board accredited by Central/State/UT Government with 50% marks in aggregate. The field for vocational subjects (NEP 2020) to be related to Science and Tech such as Web Applications, Geospatial Technology, Electrical Technology, Electronics Technology, Software Development, Renewable Energy Management. OR 10th/Matric pass with 50% in aggregate and minimum 40% in English, Maths and Science with 02 years of Technical Training from ITI Trade or two/three years Diploma in streams like Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Mechanic Diesel, Electronic Mechanic, Technician Power Electronic Systems, Electrician, Fitter, Instrumental Mechan, Draughtsman (All types), Surveyor, Geo Informatics Assistant, Information and Communication Technology System Maintenance, Information Technology, Mechanic Cum Operator Electric Communication System, Vessel Navigator, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Computer Science/Computer Engineering, Instrumental Technology.
• Pay Scale: Rs. 30,000/- per month (First Year)

Agniveer (Clerk / Store Keeper Technical)

• Age Limit: 17½ to 22 Years (Candidates born between 01 Jul 2005 to 01 Jul 2009, both days inclusive)
• Education Qualification: 10+2/ Intermediate Exam Pass in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science) with 60% marks in aggregate and minimum 50% in each subject. Securing 50% in English and Maths/ Accounts/ Book Keeping in Class XII is mandatory.
• Pay Scale: Rs. 30,000/- per month (First Year)

Agniveer Tradesmen (All Arms)

• Age Limit: 17½ to 22 Years (Candidates born between 01 Jul 2005 to 01 Jul 2009, both days inclusive)
• Education Qualification: Simple 10th pass (No stipulation in aggregate percentage but should have scored 33% in five basic subjects). Simple 8th pass (No stipulation in aggregate percentage but should have scored 33% in five basic subjects).
• Pay Scale: Rs. 30,000/- per month (First Year)

Selection Process for Indian Army Recruitment 2026

Qualified applicants will undergo two-phase of selection procedure:

• Phase-I: Online Common Entrance Examination (CEE)
• Phase-II: Physical Fitness Test (At Rally Site), Physical Measurement Test (At Rally Site), Medical Examination

Examination scheduled tentatively between 01 Jun To 15 Jun 2026. Candidates must pass all stages to secure final selection.
