Indian Army Post Wise Qualification & Age Limit

Agniveer (General Duty)

• Age Limit: 17½ – 22 years; applicants must be born between 01 Jul 2005 and 01 Jul 2009 (both days inclusive).
• Education Qualification: Class 10th/Matric pass with 45% marks in aggregate of five basic subjects and minimum 33% marks in each of those five subjects; for boards with grading system, corresponding grades are acceptable. Indian Gorkhas: Class 10th simple pass. Candidates holding valid LMV/HMV driving licence will get preference for Driver requirements.

Agniveer (Technical)

• Age Limit: 17½ – 22 years; applicants must be born between 01 Jul 2005 and 01 Jul 2009 (both days inclusive).
• Education Qualification: 10+2/Intermediate/HSC passed in Science with Physics, Mathematics and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate. OR 10+2/Intermediate in Science with Physics, Maths and English from any recognised State or Central Board including NIOS along with ITI course of one year in any field with NSQF level 4 or above. OR passed 2 years vocational course with non‑vocational subjects Physics and Mathematics from a board recognised by Central/State/UT Government with 50% marks in aggregate in a Science/Tech related field (such as Web Applications, Geospatial Technology, Electrical Technology, Electronics Technology at senior secondary level; Software Development, Renewable Energy Management at higher education). OR 10th/Matric pass with 50% aggregate and minimum 40% in English, Maths and Science along with 2 years Technical Training from ITI trade or 2/3 years Diploma in streams like Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Mechanic Diesel, Electronic Mechanic, Technician Power Electronic Systems, Electrician, Fitter, Instrument Mechanic, Draughtsman (all types), Surveyor, Geo Informatics Assistant, ICT System Maintenance, Information Technology, Mechanic Cum Operator Electric Communication System, Vessel Navigator, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Computer Science/Computer Engineering, Instrumentation Technology.

Agniveer (Clerk / Store Keeper Technical)

• Age Limit: 17½ – 22 years; applicants must be born between 01 Jul 2005 and 01 Jul 2009 (both days inclusive).
• Education Qualification: 10+2/Intermediate passed in any stream (Arts/Commerce/Science) with 60% marks in aggregate and minimum 50% marks in each subject. It is mandatory to secure 50% marks in English and Maths/Accounts/Book Keeping in Class XII.

Agniveer Tradesmen (All Arms)

• Age Limit: 17½ – 22 years; applicants must be born between 01 Jul 2005 and 01 Jul 2009 (both days inclusive).
• Education Qualification: Simple 10th pass with no condition on aggregate percentage, but the candidate should have scored 33% marks in each of the five basic subjects. Simple 8th pass candidates are also eligible; no aggregate percentage condition, but must have scored 33% in each of the five basic subjects.
