Indian Army Post Wise Qualification & Age Limit

Agniveer (General Duty)

• Age Limit: 17½ – 22 Years; applicants must be born between 01 Jul 2005 and 01 Jul 2009 (both days inclusive)
• Education Qualification: Class 10th/Matric pass with 45% marks in aggregate of five basic subjects and minimum 33% marks in each of those five subjects; for boards with grading pattern, grades equivalent to the required percentage will be considered. Indian Gorkhas need simple 10th pass. Applicants holding valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) or Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) Driving Licence will get preference for Driver roles.

Agniveer (Technical)

• Age Limit: 17½ – 22 Years; candidates should be born between 01 Jul 2005 and 01 Jul 2009 (both dates inclusive)
• Education Qualification: 10+2/Intermediate/HSC passed in Science with Physics, Maths and English securing minimum 50% marks in aggregate; OR 10+2/Intermediate in Science with Physics, Maths & English from any recognized State or Central Education Board including NIOS along with one year ITI in any field with NSQF level 4 or above; OR passed 2 years vocational course with non-vocational subjects Physics and Mathematics from an Education Board recognized by Central/State/UT Government with at least 50% marks in aggregate, with vocational subjects related to Science and Technology such as Web Applications, Geospatial Technology, Electrical Technology, Electronics Technology at Senior Secondary level and Software Development, Renewable Energy Management at higher education level; OR 10th/Matric pass with 50% aggregate and minimum 40% in English, Maths and Science along with 2 years Technical Training from ITI trade or 2/3 years Diploma in approved streams like Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Mechanic Diesel, Electronic Mechanic, Technician Power Electronic Systems, Electrician, Fitter, Instrument Mechanic, Draughtsman (all types), Surveyor, Geo Informatics Assistant, Information and Communication Technology System Maintenance, Information Technology, Mechanic Cum Operator Electric Communication System, Vessel Navigator, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Computer Science/Computer Engineering, Instrumentation Technology.

Agniveer (Clerk / Store Keeper Technical)

• Age Limit: 17½ – 22 Years; candidates must fall between 01 Jul 2005 and 01 Jul 2009 (both dates inclusive)
• Education Qualification: 10+2/Intermediate pass in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science) with 60% marks in aggregate and minimum 50% marks in each subject. It is compulsory to have at least 50% in English and Maths/Accounts/Book Keeping in Class XII.

Agniveer Tradesmen (All Arms)

• Age Limit: 17½ – 22 Years; only those born between 01 Jul 2005 and 01 Jul 2009 (inclusive) are eligible
• Education Qualification: Simple 10th pass without any requirement on aggregate percentage, but must have scored 33% marks in each of the five basic subjects; simple 8th pass candidates are also eligible where there is no stipulation on overall percentage but they should have secured at least 33% marks in each of the five basic subjects.
