NEET (UG) 2026 – Exam Pattern
NEET (UG) 2026 Exam Pattern: Physics – 45 questions for 180 marks, Chemistry – 45 questions for 180 marks, Biology (Botany & Zoology) – 90 questions for 360 marks. The question paper carries 180 compulsory questions to be solved in 180 minutes and the examination time is from 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM (IST).

NEET (UG) 2026 Exam Languages: Candidates may choose the question paper in any one of 13 languages – Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.
NEET (UG) 2026 – Application Fee
NEET (UG) 2026 Application Fee: In India – General: Rs.1700/-, General-EWS/OBC-NCL: Rs.1600/-, SC/ST/PwBD/PwD/Third Gender: Rs.1000/-. Outside India – For all applicants: Rs.9500/-. Fee payment is accepted through online mode only.
NTA Post Wise Qualification & Age Limit
NEET (UG) 2026 – Undergraduate Medical Entrance Exam
- Age Limit: Candidate should have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year of NEET-UG examination. For General (UR)/General-EWS, date of birth should be on or before 31.12.2009. For SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD/PwD candidates, date of birth should be on or before 31.12.2009.
- Education Qualification: Candidates appearing in or passed 12th standard or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as core or additional subjects from a recognized board are eligible, as per the following codes: CODE 01 – Appearing candidates of 12th whose result is awaited with PCB and English (including those who studied PCB & English as additional subjects after 12th) subject to passing before first round of counselling; CODE 02 – Higher/Senior Secondary or Indian School Certificate Examination (equivalent to 12th) after 12 years of study with practicals in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English at a level not less than NCERT core course, including students who studied science subjects as additional subjects after 12th as per NMC and NEP guidelines; CODE 03 – Intermediate/Pre-degree Examination in Science from an Indian University/Board or other recognized body with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology including practical tests and English as a compulsory subject; CODE 04 – Pre-professional/Pre-medical Examination after passing Higher Secondary/Pre-University or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English including practicals; CODE 05 – First year of a three-year degree course from a recognized University with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology including practicals, provided earlier qualifying examination was passed with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English at core level; CODE 06 – B.Sc. degree from an Indian University with at least two subjects from Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology)/Biotechnology and having passed 12th with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English; CODE 07 – Any other examination found equivalent in scope and standard (last two years of 10+2 study) to Intermediate Science Examination of an Indian University/Board with practicals in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English.
- Pay Scale: Not Applicable – Exam conducted for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BUMS, BSMS and BHMS courses.
