IAF Post Wise Qualification & Age Limit

Lower Division Clerk (LDC)

• Number of Posts: 37 (distributed among various Air Force Stations/Units under different Commands as per notification).
• Age Limit: 18 to 25 years (Upper age relaxation for SC/ST, OBC, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen and other categories as per Government of India rules).
• Education Qualification: 12th Class or equivalent from a recognized Board; typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi on computer (corresponding to 10500 KDPH/9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word).
• Pay Scale: Level-2 as per 7th CPC Pay Matrix for Group ‘C’ Civilian posts.

Hindi Typist

• Number of Posts: 10 (distributed among various Air Force Stations/Units as indicated in the advertisement).
• Age Limit: 18 to 25 years (Upper age relaxation applicable for SC/ST, OBC, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen and other eligible categories as per Government of India norms).
• Education Qualification: 12th Class or equivalent from a recognized Board; typing speed of 30 words per minute in Hindi on computer (corresponding to 9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word).
• Pay Scale: Level-2 as per 7th CPC Pay Matrix for Group ‘C’ Civilian posts.

Civilian Mechanical Transport Driver (Ordinary Grade)

• Number of Posts: Remaining posts out of total 47, as per station-wise and unit-wise distribution given in the notification.
• Age Limit: 18 to 25 years (Relaxation in upper age limit for SC/ST, OBC, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen and other categories as per Government of India rules).
• Education Qualification: Matriculation / 10th pass or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board; must possess valid civil driving licence for light and heavy vehicles, professional skill in driving with knowledge of motor mechanism and minimum experience as prescribed in the notification.
• Pay Scale: Level-2 as per 7th CPC Pay Matrix for Group ‘C’ Civilian posts.
